Cathy Mellett has been a contributing writer on the University of Michigan Health System’s communications team for more than a decade, including work in website development, publications and speechwriting. She now works primarily within the neurosciences to capture stories showcasing the impact that excellent care, research and technology have on the lives of patients. Mellett’s 35 years in communications include positions as executive director of communications at U-M’s College of Engineering, as well as senior communications specialist for a Fortune 500 company.
