He's a top expert on the primary care of patients with chronic diseases, and a health policy researcher, too. That made John Ayanian, M.D., M.P.P., the perfect candidate to field audience questions about COVID-19 prevention, symptoms, special risks, and much more in a one-hour live interview on March 27.

He also addressed what health policy experts, researchers and local and state governments can do to address the current pandemic, and learn from it so we can prevent and respond to future ones.

Ayanian, a professor of internal medicine at Michigan Medicine, also heads the University of Michigan's Institute for Healthcare Policy and Innovation. Learn more about what IHPI's faculty are doing and saying about COVID-19.
